Competition 2010
St Petersburg Forum invite St Petersburg senior
school children 14+ on the day of handing in of works – December 15th
2009 to participate in a painting Competition motivated by and painting “ in the
style” of the work of one chosen artist from 3 Scottish painters

All three
prominent Scottish artists were painting in the mid 20th century.
Students are invited to choose their own subject matter. Support should be
appropriate to chosen medium and no larger than 40cm by 50cm
Judging of works
will be based on drawing and painterly skills including composition and brush
marks.
Certificates and
Awards including the St Petersburg Forum Award, The May McMaster Award and Cash
Prizes will be presented at the Launch of Scottish week January 2010. by Professional artist Pat Kramek. www.patkramek.com

3. Robert
Burns World Federation Essay Competition 2010
The Robert Burns World Federation has set the following essay topic for
2010
Discuss “The Rights of Woman” as outlined by Robert Burns in the
occasional address spoken by Miss Fontenelle at her benefit night on 26th
November 1792
Entries will be accepted from 13 – 16 year old students on the day
of the competition.
The competition will be judged by Helen Morrison, Isa Hanley and

time for adjudication. Late entries will
not be accepted and judged.
Winners will receive prizes, certificates and medals from the Robert
Burns World Federation.
